Postage
Delivery costs depend upon the destination, size and weight of the painting purchased. The price of the original artwork does NOT include postage and packaging. Orders will normally be processed within 5 working days of your payment clearing and/or at your convenience. Originals are dispatched by next day delivery either by Royal Mail or Parcelforce in the UK. International purchases are dispatched using a designated courier. You should receive your international order, subject to any customs delays, within 7 working days. An e-mail will be sent to confirm your payment has been processed and your order dispatched.
Packaging and Insurance
Large originals are shipped flat in a custom made crate as standard. Smaller paintings are usually packaged with hardboard or plywood both sides to prevent damage. All works are insured to their full amount.
Once you receive your painting please check the packaging for any damage before signing the couriers delivery note.
Customs
All international packages need to be accurately described, with costs, on the customs declaration document.
Customs and import duties are not included. The customer is responsible for the payment of surcharges. Any customs or import duties that are levied once the package reaches your country are out of our control so you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.
Returns
If you are unhappy with your purchase or it has been damaged in transit, you are entitled to a full refund on returning the goods.
Under distance selling regulations you have seven-day cooling off period after you have received your painting in which to notify me that you no longer want it. If not completely satisfied you must inform me
in writing – by letter or email – of your decision to return the goods. The artwork must be returned within 30 days of receipt. The original must be packed carefully using the outward packaging and insured for the full purchase value as it may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement for any goods, which are damaged during return transit.
Once I have received the returned item, I guarantee to refund 100% of the artwork’s purchase price. However, your postage expenses are non-refundable.
What to do if your purchase is damaged
You must make a note of any damage on the delivery record. If you do not the couriers will argue that the shipment was delivered in good condition. In order for them to consider a claim for damage, the contents, original shipping carton and packing must be available for inspection.
If the package has suffered shipping damage:
- contact me immediately
- contact the shipping company for a damage inspection report
- keep the original shipping carton and packaging for the shipping company to inspect
- request that the shipping company return the painting
PRINTS
Delivery Times
All prints are dispatched flat packed by first class recorded delivery or Parcelforce 48 in the UK . Next Day delivery is available on request for an extra charge. Although we use these 1-2 day services we would still allow up to 7 days to receive your delivery.
International orders are dispatched using International Signed For or Parcelforce Global Priority. You should receive your order, subject to any customs delays, within 10 working days.
Missing or Damaged Prints
If, for any reason, your print arrives damaged (or does not arrive at all) we will either replace or refund your purchase, whichever is appropriate.
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are based upon size and weight so can vary.
In the UK the average cost of postage if dispatched by Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded is currently £6.83. For a larger print dispatched using Parcelforce48 the average cost is currently £8.77. These prices are subject to change.
There is no average cost for overseas orders, given the number of countries involved, but postage costs are displayed in your basket
before payment.

Once I have received the returned item, I guarantee to refund 100% of the purchase price. If the reason for your return is a damaged item then your own postage costs will be covered, however, if you no longer want or need the item postage expenses are non-refundable.

Canvas Prints
Our canvas prints are produced and dispatched by Phillip Allder Art. Lead times vary but most prints are dispatched within a week of purchase.
